The Public Health Emergency (PHE) created an opportunity for significant growth in virtual care, which is now recognized as a tool for improving health equity and primary care access. As the PHE comes to a close and we transition to a new normal for health care service delivery, we want to take advantage of the lessons learned from the pandemic and build upon the progress made over the past several years in the digital care space.
Watch Blue Shield of California Industry Initiatives' webinar on Leveraging Digital Health to Drive Equity and Integration in Primary Care. The panelists are leaders of health technology, provider, payer, and advocacy organizations and discuss opportunities to advance integrated, equitable primary care through digital solutions, including how virtual care can increase health care access for often overlooked populations, such as people living with disabilities, rural residents, and LGBTQ+ individuals. In addition to discussing the promises of digital primary care, the conversation addresses the barriers to further progress and areas for improvement. The speakers provide a call to action for all webinar participants, so listeners will be encouraged to think about how they can facilitate adoption and appropriate utilization of digital care solutions.
